The brain requires about 20 percent of your body’s total oxygen– and even more when your brain is in ‘overdrive’! Research carried out at the Human Cognitive Neuroscience unit at the University of Northumbria, shows that mental performance can be greatly improved by inhaling pure oxygen.
The clinical study found that breathing supplemental oxygen significantly improved cognitive performance of healthy adults. Students were given a one-minute blast of oxygen after being asked to remember a list of words. They remembered more words than those who didn’t take any additional oxygen. Other students took oxygen whilst they were playing the higher levels of Tetrix, a computer game and it was found that they performed much better compared to students who didn’t take any additional oxygen.
Breathing pure oxygen for only a few minutes can increase mental performance when attempting more demanding tasks. It literally adds fuel to the fire! According to Dr. Mark Moss, ‘Breathing in pure oxygen for a few minutes increases the blood’s oxygen saturation from about 98-99 per cent (in normal air) to 100 per cent, allowing us to make energy more efficiently, and perform some tasks better.’
So, if you have an exam, meeting or event which demands peak mental performance, Boost Oxygen can help! Breathing Boost Oxygen results in a fantastic mental clarity and increased concentration/focus to help you get the job done and perform at your full potential!
