Breathe Boost Oxygen and Lose Weight!

Oxygen is needed for every metabolic process. It helps to break down fat molecules and the blood then picks up the waste carbon dioxide to transport it out of the body via the lungs. The more oxygen we take in, the more fat our bodies are able to burn as the metabolic process is kicked into higher gear! Conversely, with less oxygen, the metabolic process slows down and fat storage takes hold leading to weight gain. Oxygen is the ‘food’ for our body cells. If our cells are surrounded by a good amount of oxygen our tissues and organs have an abundance of fuel to function efficiently.

Breathing pure oxygen not only helps shift those stubborn pounds but also aids detoxification, ridding the body of harmful toxins and improving cellular health. Oxygen neutralises environmental toxins, and destroys infectious bacteria microbes and viruses while greatly enhancing the body’s absorption of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, proteins and other important nutrients.

Our Pink Grapefruit and Peppermint aromas have the added benefit of reducing hunger!  National guidelines recommend that, for sustainable weight loss, a reduction in calorie intake of about 600 a day is needed. This could lead to a weekly weight loss of around 0.5kg (1lb). Research by Japan’s Osaka University, shows that the zesty aroma of the essential oil Pink Grapefruit can lessen cravings for sweets and curb the appetite.  Likewise for Peppermint! 40 participants of a Wheeling Jesuit University study inhaled the peppermint scent every two hours for 5 days and felt significantly less hungry eating 1,800 fewer calories than normal. The scent of peppermint significantly reduced cravings, suggesting regular inhalations can decrease appetite and aid in weight management.

For best results take 3-5 breath of #BoostOxygen Pink Grapefruit or Peppermint at least 5 minutes before a meal. Good luck!
